Pictures and a Survey Reminder!

Hi, folks! We are excited that we got our first production copy of the Collector's Edition today! Here are some pictures:

Things are coming together on this project nicely, and we can't wait to share it with you. But for that, we need your address! According to BackerKit, a sizeable minority of you still haven't filled out your survey and paid for shipping. We plan to lock orders and close surveys on April 9. If we don't have info from you by that time, your backer rewards could be delayed!

You should have all received an email from BackerKit (and, in some cases, more than one such email) with a link and instructions on how to fill out your survey. If you didn't receive such an email, please first check your spam folder. If it's not there, please contact [email protected] so that we can make sure to get you the information you need.

Manufacturing almost done, and a new project!

Hi, folks! We just received word that the Collector's Edition metal tokens are finished and are on their way to the factory to be added to the game. We will then get a final sample and then things will hopefully be good to go!

Small snag: also in our inbox this morning was yet another email keeping us posted about the continuing freight delays between China and the US. The situation is improving on the China side, but now the bottleneck has moved to the US side!   :-/

We think we're still in good shape to hit our stated July deadline, and we'll keep you informed if that starts looking like a problem.

In other news, we launched a new campaign last week! The Red Dragon Inn 8 is the latest standalone expansion in the award-winning Red Dragon Inn series, featuring new characters, new drinks and a new Pub Crawl Variant playable with the new characters or any of the previous ones!

Info about shipping costs in BackerKit

Hi, folks. We have received reports from a couple of $1 backers that when they first go to BackerKit to fill out their survey, BackerKit tells them that they owe $30 shipping rather than the correct amount. We believe that this is happening because, at that point in the process, BackerKit doesn't yet know your address, and therefore defaults you to "rest of world" shipping fees. (We will report back when we have confirmation from BackerKit about whether this is indeed the issue - they're closed for the weekend.)

Once you enter your address, your shipping charge should be correct. If you get to the checkout screen in BackerKit and it is still showing you a shipping amount that is incorrect, please contact us at [email protected].

Big thanks to the folks who brought this issue to our attention.

Backer Surveys Opening Soon!

Hi again, folks. The latest update on this project is that we're doing a bit of back-and-forth with the manufacturer to make sure that the components are good. Here's a picture of some prototypes - both the default wooden pawns and the Collector's Edition minis.

On the whole, things are coming along quite nicely. We expect manufacturing to start either just before or just after the Chinese New Year holiday, so we believe that we are on schedule.

As a result, will be opening backer surveys through BackerKit in the coming days. This is where you can verify (or, if necessary, change) your address, pay for shipping, and add various add-ons to your order.

If you don't get a notification from BackerKit right away, don't worry. BackerKit has a useful feature that they call the "Smoke Test". When surveys open, they first send to just 5% of backers, spread out over all pledge levels. They then pause so that we can check to make sure that nothing's gone horribly wrong. If everything's cool, then we give the word and surveys get sent out to everyone else.

Art and a Customer Survey!

Hi, backers. First, we wanted to share this SlugFest Games survey with you. As we leave 2020 in the dust, we're looking for your input to help make great games that excite our fans. This new survey will take about 10 minutes of your time and will give us invaluable data for the future.

Please note that this is a completely optional survey, and is NOT your official backer survey (the one where you give us your address and such). That official survey will happen sometime next month through BackerKit. Today's survey is just a "tell us how we're doing" sort of a thing.
